The video was about differences in this case of this woman’s jobs because they didn’t pay them the same because of their kind and they were talking about a type of cycle or a list in which they could be replaced or changed with anyone and that they didn’t see the real value of them. Also they talked about how studio people really gets rich and how the talent just gets a piece of the profit. Also they talked about an example in which the actors were getting very little money although the company was getting rich and it was because there it was a discrimination.

My opinion is that…
People belive that woman are weaker, or even useless for some jobs, the gender is not obstacle to work hard or to do what a man can do. We’re all equal and the only difference is that some people want to be their best and to be a superstar, and they fight to do what they want, but some people want to do something but they just never do it, that’s the only difference, the effort to do the things, and to want to be better than anyone but with humility.
We have to get the most of every opportunity we have.

ReplyDeleteThe video was about the oportunity that women has in this case work, nowdays for women is difficult to obtain work because of skin color, of where they are and all, they said that sometimes the amount of money that you deserce was not he correct amount that they where giving you and the boss or superior where like "well if you don't do the work because of the pay, well there's a lot of people that want it" but that's not the case, the case is that you need to respect my rights, my effort my time and value that I have, You can said I do more that the other do or equal and the amount it's not, the point it's not get more than the other has, if not have an equal payment.
They also talk about the actrees that for example the company has a lot of money because the move was very good but the actrees don't get the right amount of money but... why if she's the "star" she is the reason that the movie has so many spectators? well that's the problem is only bussines.
Nowdays is less the discrimination that women have than previously was more discrimination, clasism and racism, women are speaking more and raising her voice around the world in order to be listened, we have the example of Malala a brave woman that fight for her rights.
The point it's not be feminist is only to be equal not more or lower only an equal quatity ( in this case work).

The video is about a debate where the actresses Ellen, Emma, Gina and Gabrielle talk about how they were payed in their job, they start mentioning experiences of what they lived. Gina talks about her point of view and say that she is happy about what she is doing but when she wants to gain more she can't in spite of the fact that she is doing the same job of her partner (because her partner is older than she and the other people in charge of the show said that "you're not worth that much as she was").
ReplyDeleteAlso Ellen says that the big corporations are who earn the most of money and express her disagreement about the mindset of the corporations.
In my own opinion the justice, also the gender equality isn't applied as much as they want in the corporations where they think that the actresses have all the credit but that just want a well payed job where you earn what you deserve.

This video is about 4 women’s that discuss different topics ,like the negotiation because people think that the money describe what type of person you are and that’s no true , negociación affects in some jobs because if you don’t want to give or you can’t give a deal , you need to go away even though you are really a passionate with this problem .

They talked about how the color of the skin can make the difference of how much you will get paid because badly and sadly, it is very marked in our society that the people of color deserve less than the others and that is all wrong because all of us are equal. They also talked about how even the nationality can affect the payment and opportunities. Thay also mentioned that they do not want more, actually they are just asking for it to be equal.
My opinion is that women, men, everyone need to have the same opportunities, either in work, in life or in any other aspect.

ReplyDeleteThis video it´s to understand that nowadays people don´t be careful in the problems that exist around the world. One of the biggest problem that was mentioned is the inequality between men and women, for the simple fact of being women, the companies paid less than men although woman worked in the same place, the same days and the same hours.
Another problem that they said were about the discrimination toward people with black skin, I think that we have the same rights and opportunities to be highlight in this life.
The video was about a debate of four women who were discussing about how the women and some other men have low wages just because of stereotypes
ReplyDeleteThey mentioned something in the video that made me to feel too identified, they talked about opportunities in life and how some people waste them. “If life gives you lemons do lemonade” I think that they are completely right in this aspect.
They also talked about how the women were victims of the lack of equality of gender, and one of the “discriminations” they receive nowadays is that they don’t receive the same payment than men. The effort of any person in their job should match with the salary they are going to receive.
In summary, take advantage of the opportunities that life gives you, stereotypes can be too bad and problematic, and finally we live in a machist society in which a man receives more money than a woman doing the same thing/job.

This video is about many topics that are related to the equality of work for men and women. These famous actress are discussing about the pay inequality for women and also people who discriminate the persons just for where they come, for example white women are paid more than black women and Asian women are paid more than Latinas women , the same problem goes with the men. Also, the video talk about negotiation how people negotiate with their bosses to increase their salary. I admired these 4 women because they are talking and giving their own point of view about inequal salary so they can defend human rights and promote the equality and inclusion.
The video was about 4 actresses that were discussing about the different payments that they received in some Tv shows or movies and how the payment were based in stereotypes and discrimination against the women (also they explain how they carried on in that situations) they started explaining some anecdotes of what they felt and lived. Also they talked about the equality, they are frustrated because they have to take care of their children and their family, they are angry because they aren't paid just like the male actors, they are paid less!! and in the ambit of discrimination Gina said that her family was discriminated because for being latina and Ellen added that she was discriminated by her skin color (racism).

I think they are absolutely right because all women are the same and they are worth the same things. Not only all women are the same but women and men too. All women, no matter if they are latinas, colored, white, etc., deserve to get paid the same amount of money if they work in the same thing, the same hours and in the same place.

DeleteI think that the things that owners of series or movies need to consider to pay an actor are the time that the actor or actress invert to make that movie or series, and the ranking that they give to the movie. But, if an actor and an actress made the same work and gave the same ranking to the movie, the owner will need to pay equal to both people because they make literal the same work and is unfair that the actor win more only because he is a man.

The energy on set was very powerful because they weren´t only taking about unfair experiences that they have been through, they also talked about that they have been through, they have also talked about that everyone ( women, men, blacks, whites, latinos, etc.)should be treated equally. My respects for them, because they have the courage to share their honest opinion about how is treated people still today even though they could risk their positions. Also they know what they are worth and do not let people treat them or pay them less than what they deserve. Seriously, they are amazing women and I hope there are more people with this kind of mindset
This video was actually about how women (and also some men) don´t receive their right payment. There were four actresses very different but with the same opinion. They talk specifically about how an actress didn´t get payed what they deserve; however, they also talk about how movie industry discriminates women, depending their skin, or their country.
ReplyDeleteIn the other hand, they mentioned a fact that is true not only in Hollywood, but also in any kind of job; I'm talking about how some women have to keep quiet just because their are getting payed and they are famous, and if they don´t take the job then another woman will take it, so they feel that they have to accept just because it suppose to be a great opportunity.
In my opinion, this not only happen in Hollywood, this happens frecuently in every sisngle job, and women don´t receive the same money as a man just for their gender. This video help me to understand more about gender disctimination and also how can we (women) have to support each other in order to become stronger.

This video is great because it talks about the fact that women are not paid equally for several reasons. The first reason that they started talking about is because they are women. In most places men receive a greater payment than women for the same work with the same amount of hours, and this is because they are men. And in this situations women are told to take that job because another woman would take it, that is why they end by accepting that payment. Another point that they made out was that black women are paid less than white women, asian women are paid less than black women and latino women are paid less than asian women. I mean, there is also a big discrimination because of races. And finally they pointed out that sometimes women are not paid equally with the excuse that they are going to win awards. But they said that they don't care a lot of the awards because they mainly care about the money; and this is reasonable because they need that money to raise their families and themselves. The only thing that did not make sense for me in this video is that I think this was not a debate because in them there are different postures and in this talk or discussion the four of them were in the same posture.

Yes, there is gender un-equality in the economic aspect, and not only in the acting career, it also happens in other jobs, like waiter, firefighter (being fire woman, obviously), model, engineer, etc. and it is sad to see how men in the same job and status than a woman, i think it should be stopped in a world with this manly culture, but, with sufficient effort, and work, I think that it can be achieved.

DeleteThe video was about four women debating about how the differences between genres are still factors that affect how people are paid in their jobs. In my opinion, it is disappointing how those factors are still considered in this times. If a woman makes an effort to get a job and she wants to do her best, it should be rewarded just like a man that had the same path. Not only women but also latinos, chinese and black people are still paid less than other people in some places only because their racial characteristics and origin. I think that, people should not be qualified based on their origin or racial characteristics, people should be selected to work on a job and be paid based on their performance.

Well, the video is about 4 womens called: Ellen Pompeo, Emma Roberts, Gina Rodriguez and Gabrielle Union. The video talks about how the stereotypes have benn changing through the years. In my opinion I never think that also in could pass for example when one of them saids that sometimes they feel that they get less paid only because they´re latina or from other conutrie.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, the video shows two of my favorite artists of all time, Ellen Pompeo and Emma Roberts, women who through their art on the small screen have taught me to see the world with a different perspective, full of possibilities , goals and triumphs.
ReplyDeleteAs they mentioned in the interview, sometimes these opportunities can not be had by some people due to the distinction of social classes, race, gender, religion, etc. Despite the fact that actresses like Pompeo are people with a very privileged position, they also suffer from trates like these. I really think that social issues like discrimination and wage disequilibrium should be treated more seriously, creating laws that protect all those oppressed by people who have power in their hands and do not want to share it with those who really deserve it.

The video talks about the discrmination as a serious problem that affects to everyone, the effort that somebody does could not be appreciated by the society for being from China, India, Mexico, or any other country because of the place he/she comes from, and the color of the skin can be a factor of discrimination as well. We need to change the idea the society has about that, because everybody deserves a good treat and the opportunity to overcome any obstacle to be a better person.

They said that there is a great difference of salary between women and men taking in count that they make exactly the same job, and that when they demand theyir rights, their bosses do not want to make justice. They are only demanding equality, but they do not see it like that. In my opinion, I would like a equality in salary if we are talking about exactly the same job, because if it is not like that, it is a kind of discrimination. They were talking and discussing how much money they earn in the entertainment industry and the injustice of the amount they pay to them. They said depending on your race is the amount of money that the companies pay you.
